Hi! It's nice to meet you.
Danielle Shannon (she/they) brings almost 20 years of experience in the mental health field to her practice as a therapist, social worker and advocate. They specialize in supporting folks who face challenges related to stress, life transitions and the impact of trauma.
Danielle frequently works with Ethically Non-Monogamous (ENM), BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Many of her clients are also in helping professions, or have experienced childhood family dysfunction that impacts their lives. Previous work with children, teens and families provides a unique perspective on healing across the lifespan.
Danielle believes in a radical, holistic and collaborative framework for healing and the therapy process, as well as bringing levity and humor to sessions. She uses evidence-based interventions like Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, trauma-sensitive yoga techniques, and more.
